The NIA's investigation has uncovered that members of the PFI were engaged in unlawful and anti-national activities, aiming to incite communal discord and instill fear among the populace. A significant finding was a clandestine document titled 'India 2047 – Towards Rule of Islam in India,' which outlined plans for establishing Islamic governance in the country. This document was confiscated from Ahmed Palace in Phulwarisharif, Patna, on July 11, 2022.
Further inquiries revealed that Mehboob Alam played a crucial role in this conspiracy, actively recruiting members, organizing training sessions and meetings, and promoting PFI's ideology. He was also involved in fundraising efforts to support other accused individuals and PFI members.
